Seder meal – 19th April, 2011, 6.30pm- Boston Spa MC A seder is the Passover meal Jesus would have shared with his disciples. It was a time when families gathered together for a meal and a re-telling of the flight from Egypt, so it is a sharing of our faith journey. So if you like sharing a meal, and you like storytelling, and you like to honour God, this is for you! There is a sign up sheet on the noticeboard. Please indicate with V at the side of your name if you are vegetarian. Thank you. Help with setting up and washing up afterwards, gratefully received! Jesus Christ Superstar - 20th April - Boston Spa Methodist Church On Wednesday 20th April we will be sharing a viewing of the film of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, a rock opera which tells the story of Christ’s final weeks (filmed on location in Israel). All welcome, light refreshments will be provided. Love Feast – 21st April, 6.15 pm – Clifford MC 3rd annual Love Feast at Clifford. During Lent we focus on looking at our relationship with God, and as we ask God for forgiveness, being open to transformation by his grace. We come to Love Feast in an attitude of humility and readiness to surrender our lives anew to God. We sing songs, we have our feet washed, as Jesus washed the feet of his disciples; we share a simple meal of bread and soup; then share communion in our Maundy Thursday Service. This is a very special service of surrendering to God’s love. Sign up sheet on the noticeboard. Good Friday - 11 a.m. - Meditation - Boston Spa Methodist Church Easter Sunday - 5.45 a.m. - Holy Communion by the riverside beyond the Chapel, followed by light breakfast. 10. 30 a.m. - Family Communion |
