Bethany-Hannah Winteringham
Classical Soprano
Bethany-Hannah Winteringham, soprano, completed her undergraduate studies at Leeds Conservatoire in 2022, achieving a 1st class degree in Classical Voice, and is currently undertaking her Master’s degree in Musical Theatre.
Career highlights include The York Proms, ‘Belinda’ in Dido and Aeneas, ‘Countryfile Live’ at Castle Howard, singing the role of ‘Child’ in the premiere of ‘A Yorkshire Nativity’ at Skipton Town Hall with the Skipton Camerata, and performing in York’s Guildhall for the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire and the York Civic Party.
In addition, to music from the Classical genre, she sings Musical Theatre repertoire and has performed roles such as Laurey (Oklahoma ), Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), Jellylorum (Cats), and Maria (West Side Story). Bethany-Hannah is chiefly a recital artist; she has performed solo recitals at York Unitarian Chapel, Wakefield Cathedral, Otley Courthouse and Boston Spa Methodist Church. Bethany-Hannah enjoys performing with choral societies and has been guest soloist consistently in concert with Masbrough Community Choir and York in Harmony Ladies Choir.
Tom Owen, Piano
Tom Owen is a pianist, composer, conductor and tutor based in Sheffield. He completed a PhD in composition at The University of Sheffield in 2012. As well as being a prolific piano accompanist, he is a musical theatre M.D, recently including several shows with Sheffield Teachers Operatic Society, as well as the first ever amateur performance of Flowers For Mrs. Harris. He is a choral director with Aurora A Capella Chorus in Chesterfield, and at Sheffield Music Academy where he also teaches across many disciplines. His compositions have been performed by artists including Ensemble 360, The Azalea Quintet, Opera On Location, and renowned pianist Philip Thomas. He also worked on a completion of Leonard Bernstein's unfinished ballet Conch Town, which finally received a full premiere at the BBC Proms in 2018.
